Q1: Linda, how did you rebuild Pinnacle Weddings in Charleston?

Linda Warner is the owner and lead planner behind Pinnacle Weddings in Charleston. Originally from South Africa,  she relocating to Charleston, starting working for Pinnacle Weddings and eventually bought the business two years later just as covid started (like many of us!). Today it is a team with 5 full time and 4 part time planners, photographers content creators, and even drone operators. 


Q2: Linda, what do couples typically underestimate about planning weddings?

Many couples assume that once they've booked their vendors, the hard part is over! But that’s just the beginning. Wedding planning is a complex journey filled with to-dos, timelines, and decisions that can easily become overwhelming. From drafting the guest list and selecting the perfect venue to sticking to a budget and designing invitations, there’s a lot more involved than most expect.


That’s where a professional wedding planner and a smart planning tool like That’s The One can make all the difference. By turning chaos into clarity, we help break the process down into manageable steps, keeping everything on track, stress-free, and beautifully organized.


Q3: Linda, how do you create a transparent and fun process for your couples?

Transparency starts with honest communication and detailed planning. I guide my couples through each phase with clarity so nothing feels overwhelming. I want to make sure it’s not just the wedding day that is enjoyable but the actually wedding planning process as well. 


I have always been on the lookout for supportive technology to use in my business, and have gone through a few over the years. I have been using That’s The One (TTO), a dedicated wedding planning software since 2022 and my couples absolutely love it.

 

Q4: Linda, what aspects of That’s The One (TTO) do you find makes life easier for your team and your clients?

Every client of ours is onboarded onto TTO, the wedding planning app, from day 1. Here we manage our communication and tasks to ensure a clear and transparent process for everyone. Here we will manage everything from your tasks, vendor selection process, payments, budget, guestlist, RSVP, invitations, website to your floor and seating plan - all in one place. 


Here are some features we find our clients particularly love:


Rather than using email, we will recommend vendors to you directly via the platform. You will be able to see images, IG and website links, key information, quotes and relevant PDFs. You will be able to “confirm” or “decline” the vendor after reviewing them. This helps us to keep all information in one place.


Once a vendor is confirmed, you will be able to see all the payment milestones tracked against them and it will automatically be synced with your budget sheet. You will get reminders for when payments are due over email. Once they have been paid, kindly “tick” off the payment in the platform, to keep all payment statuses up to date.


In the vendor hub, you can tag us in comments about the vendor. For example, we may ask you to review a quote. All comments added into TTO will also be emailed to you. If you are on the go, you can reply to the email, and your comments will be synced back into the planning platform. This allows us to always have a single source of truth and easily locate conversations and final decisions.


You will be invited to participate in a collaborate checklist in the leadup to your wedding. We will assign tasks to you and you will also be able to see what we are working on. You will receive automated weekly reminder emails for upcoming (and overdue) tasks.


We love introducing our clients to TTO’s RSVP Manager - they all love it! You’ll be able to create a guestlist, group guests into households so they can RSVP together, and even set “private questions” to select groups (if we are not inviting everyone to a prerehearsal dinner for example). The RSVP will be set up to collect key information from guests, such as their attendance, meal preferences and travel information. 


We can share the RSVP link as a link and put it on any wedding website (The Knot, Zola etc), or use the inbuilt website functionality within the TTO platform. We recommend this because it keeps everything in one place and also syncs with the digital invite feature, in case you wish to use this for your save the dates, RSVPs or future guest communications. 


Once the guest RSVPs have been received, we will start working on the floor and seating plans. Our team will build the floorplan for you and ask you to allocate the guests into the seats. This is typically one of the most fun activities for our couples, because you can interactively drag and drop guests into seats! Once complete, we will download the PDF to share with the venue and caterers, as it will be automatically synced with your guest dietary requirements.
